Terms of Service

Welcome to hireparse! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the hireparse platform, including our web app, API, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

hireparse provides a privacy-first resume parsing tool that converts resumes into structured data (e.g., JSON). Resumes are processed in-memory only and are not stored or retained after the response is delivered.

2. User Responsibilities

By using hireparse, you agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the Service
  • Not upload malicious, illegal, or copyrighted material without permission
  • Not automate usage in a way that harms or abuses the system (e.g., spamming requests)

You are solely responsible for the data you submit through the Service.

3. Data Handling and Privacy

We do not store uploaded resumes or their parsed content. Data is processed ephemerally and returned immediately to the user.

We collect only minimal operational metadata (e.g., API usage, request timestamps) to ensure service stability and prevent abuse. See our Privacy Policy for more.

4. Availability

We strive to keep the Service up and running, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. From time to time, we may perform maintenance, make updates, or face outages. hireparse is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

5. Intellectual Property

hireparse and all associated branding, code, and documentation are the intellectual property of the creators of hireparse. You retain full ownership of any resumes or content you upload.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • hireparse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • We make no guarantees about the accuracy or fitness of the parsed results for any particular purpose.
  • You use the Service at your own risk.

7. API Usage and Fair Use

If you use the API, you agree to:

  • Respect rate limits and fair usage policies
  • Not share your API key with unauthorized users
  • Not resell the API or wrap it in competing services

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke API access for abuse or violation of these Terms.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
